Sort of an off week for us

We didn't do really any schooling this past week. Daddy was home with a knee injury all week, and it kind of threw the whole week off. I did take some pictures that I will share. Since we didn't really cover any of our "B" stuff, we will be repeating the letter again this week.

I gave the kids a bubble bath with vapor bath. Little Guy was loving all of the bubbles!

 This girl LOVES her stickers!

Wearing a visor upside down pushing a toy shopping cart!

They both liked playing with their basket of bugs.

Some of the school pictures we got. This is the only time she opened her book all week.
Digging for bugs.

I've been teaching her how to smile with her teeth. She has such a sweet smile!

My sweet boy! He is such a camera hog! He loves for me to take his picture.

On one of Daddy's days at home, he was sitting and reading his nursing book. She crawled up into his lap and was asking about everything. Every time he told her something, her reply was, "Oh, I see."

The Girl had an apple, and he found it. He gnawed on the apple all evening. By the time he was done, it was over half gone!

I pulled out our very first sensory bin this week. The kids LOVED it! I didn't get too many pictures of the different things they were doing, but this gives you an idea of all the mess! :)

We were fortunate to get a little outside time this week. He promptly sat down and "washed" the rocks!

 More sensory bin time.

Little Guy is on a nebulizer right now. The girl loves to wear the mask at a hat!

Working out with Daddy!

Reading her books.

My favorite picture! SPAGHETTI!!!!

Applesauce Muffins

The Girl LOVES to bake! She loves to put on her apron and pull up a chair to the counter. She's becoming quite the little helper. Always telling me, "No, Mommy, let me dooo it!" "I can do it!" Although for her love of baking, she doesn't really like to eat it. She's not much of a baked goods person. :)

 "What's in der Mommy?"

A classic picture! Has to be my favorite!!!

 Liking off the applesauce.

Such a little ham!

Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the muffins when they were done. They were super yummy though!

Letter "A" crafts.

Painting, painting and painting! This girl LOVES to paint. She had a really good time, doing her painting crafts.

 Painting her apple.

I told her to paint her circle (meaning the card board ring) and she painted circles on her paper!

 Everything set out to dry.

Showing me the paint on her fingers.

 All finished!

All her work from the week! She loved having it on the wall, so she could show it to people when they came over.

A Day With Granny and G-pa

Wednesday is our day to go to my grandparent's house. We all really look forward to it. I took along my camera, to capture those special moments that won't be around forever.

Every time we go over, she has to go out and feed the goggies (doggies) treats. They are not even our dogs. They live next door.

 Feeding the garden.

She loves to go with G-pa to check the mail in the wagon.

Little Guy saw her through the window, and started crying that he wanted to go too.

He loves to stand up and bounce.

She's getting pretty good at her skates.

The last picture of our time over there. She found this little bird in the flower bed. She calls it a baby bird, and loves to cradle it in her hands and carry it around.

These are some of our pictures from "school" this morning.

Apple print painting. She is always asking me to paint, so she loved this one.

 Eating the extra apple piece.

Her colors. She matched up all the colors to the correct apples.

"School" area

So, once I got all of these great ideas, I had to figure out how to organize it and display it. So after lots of blog reading, and tons of thinking, I finally got some of it figured out. Good thing too, because my husband is getting tired of all the research. I took a corner of our living room (which already had the toys in it) and transformed it. With lots of help from both kids, I think I'm done for the night.

I didn't think to take a true before picture. This is after I moved the chalk board table onto the other wall, pulled the white cube shelves out the kids' room, and brought in the clear drawers from my room. You can still see the mess of toys all over, and my "helpers".

The kids loved playing with everything as I was putting it all away. Here's some pictures of what they were doing, while I was at work.

Little Guy there, discovered that he can drink from Big Girls' straw sippy. Here he is trying to sneak it when she is not looking!

Big Girl was counting all her markers. She can go all the way to 10 without any help.

I love his little toohy grin!
Little Guy found the blocks on the shelf.

 What a goof ball!

I love her concentration as she pushes the pipe cleaner through the holes. She really likes this game.

He got in on the fun too.

 Making it into a hat.

 "See Mom!!!"

 The finished set up.

The green buffet has art supplies in it. The monthly sensory bin will go on the top of it. They do not have one for this month. We will start them next month.

Books, tot tray, and learning toys.

 Inside the buffet.

School shelf on the big bookcase.

I'm hoping that this set up will help things to run a little smoother. My next task is to do the kids' bedroom. Although they do most of their playing in the living room, I want to encourage them to play in the room more. I'll take before pictures, and show it all in another post.
